How Hedgebook is built
Hedgebook is a descriptive public catalogue. It records exact Kalshi contract states that reference business drivers documented in current public-company filings. It does not measure exposure, estimate causality, or make a recommendation.
What this edition contains
The hedgebook-2026-08-25-v2 edition contains 24 issuer-specific core references across 10 exact markets. 480 of the 500constituents have no core reference in this edition. Empty is an accepted result, not a gap to fill.
Public counts are outputs of the evidence standard. The interface does not require five rows, and the matching process does not admit a broad market simply to make company pages symmetrical.
Four separate clocks
The authored graph, issuer roster, market-state overlay, and public build each carry their own clock. A quote refresh can change bid, ask, status, or resolution information; it cannot change which company-market edges belong to the edition.

Core and context admission
A core edge requires a current eligible exact contract, a current primary issuer source, a typed mechanism connecting the filing's business driver to the settlement variable, and an explicit classification that survives review. An issuer can have zero to five core edges.
Broad economic variables belong only in a separately labeled context layer, capped at two. Context never completes a row count and never enters core coverage or fanout statistics. The current edition publishes no context edges because none were needed to state the accepted core.
Evidence and review
The trusted constituent file defines issuer identities and aliases. SEC submissions establish the latest applicable filing for each candidate issuer. The current Kalshi endpoint supplies exact tickers, rules, status, resolution time, and quotes. Public edge receipts expose the SEC source and exact contract rules without exposing private workbench material.
High-fanout core markets receive mandatory independent review. The remaining sample is reconstructed from a locked policy seed. In this edition the minimum-sample rule caused all remaining edges to be reviewed, so all 24 published edges received an independent source and identity check.
The compile contract
Dated edition
The company-to-market graph is an authored edition with its own cutoff. New quotes do not silently change membership, classification, evidence, or mechanism copy.
Issuer-specific core
A core reference requires an exact Kalshi ticker, current public filing evidence, a typed business mechanism, and an explicit classification. Zero core references is a valid company outcome.
Shared context
Broad macro or operating variables can appear only in a separately labeled context layer. They never fill a company page or count as issuer-specific core.
Independent review
The review sample is reconstructed from a locked policy seed. High-fanout markets receive mandatory review, every source link and exact market identity is checked, and any critical error blocks publication.
Separate quote overlay
Bid, ask, status, resolution date, and quote time update in a mechanically separate overlay. The interface names the matching edition and quote clock independently.
Public data
The public schema, clocks, per-edge evidence fields, and static endpoints are documented on the data page.
